“We choose Scott Hall Remodeling to remodel our bathroom a couple years ago. We ultimately chose them for the Kitchen remodel they just completed for us because of their strong focus on customer service. We had experienced a few issues with the bathroom and SHR resolved each of the issues to our satisfaction. We felt very comfortable in allowing them access to our home to remodel the kitchen when we went out of town. They were able to give us updates during our time out of town of what was happening through our own login portal over the internet. We recommend Scott Hall Remodeling without hesitation.”

“We used Scott Hall Remodeling to complete a kitchen remodel that involved changing out all of the granite for Cambria and replacing all of the major appliances. This was our second project with the company and overall we were very pleased with the outcome. Scott is very thorough in his planning process, which prevents mid-remodel surprises. The two men who actually did the work were wonderful to work with and solved the inevitable problems that came up quickly. The project came in as budgeted. The new kitchen has greatly enhanced our home.”

“What a joy it was to work with Scott and his design team!  From the very first meeting with Scott, I knew this was the company I wanted and could trust.  Scott pays close attention to detail and is never pushy.  He listens to what his client wants, and explains options and costs clearly.  I appreciated his ongoing communication throughout the process.

The design consultant was tremendous in helping me select the plumbing fixtures, accessories and tile (which can be overwhelming!) and was always available with her knowledge about colors, patterns, textures, etc.  Bryn did an outstanding job of making it all come together with their professional expertise.  They were dependable, never seemed rushed or bothered if I interrupted with a question and  always cleaned up at the end of the day.  The master bath is on the second floor so there were many trips up and down the stairs carrying heavy objects; yet there were no scrapes, scratches or nicks to the walls.  All the flooring in their path was carefully covered with plastic.  They were always polite, kind and patient.  I felt a little sad when the project was finished, because I missed seeing them nearly every day! I am extremely pleased with my new master bath, and especially the friendships I have made with Scott and his wonderful design team!”

“Scott Hall Remodeling Completed a full renovation of our master bathroom. Moved closet and created full master bath with shower, soaking tub, double vanity and walk in master closet.

Scott was prompt from the very beginning. He was able to accomodate our start date to start early so the project would be complete before the birth of our child. Scott incorporated our ideas and created a plan that worked well for us. When plans became difficult to execute we were involved in the whole process to quickly change plans to create a better overall outcome. His workmen were friendly, prompt and very knowledgeable. Scott’s vendors were some of the best we worked with and he was always prompt at overseeing the process. The project tooke 8 weeks to complete and was on time and budget. We couldn’t be happier!”

“[Scott Hall Remodeling] did a beautiful job on the bathroom and on the book shelves. They have high standards and do excellent work. They did their best to minimize the impact of the project on the rest of our home — they took care to protect the areas of our home where they worked and where they walked, and they were very nice to limit the noise they made while my toddler was napping every afternoon. Scott was very easy to communicate with throughout the process and was always good about calling whenever their schedules had to change. We had wonderful relationships with Scott and Bobby — they are thoughtful, professional, and very nice people. We could not be happier with the process or the end result, and would recommend them highly.”

“I can’t tell you enough how pleased we are with the bath, and the wonderful work the guys did. I’m sure glad we picked your company, and will be your number one reference to anyone wants to remodel their bath. The whole process was the best construction experience I’ve had in the 39 years I’ve been the design/construction field. Thanks again!!!!! – Jim and Chris”

“I worked with Scott and his team to completely revamp my 1940s bathroom in the clintonville area. Scott personally came to the table with a lot great ideas and the willingness to listen to what I was thinking. His team was beyond professional and kept me beyond adequately updated along the way. The transformation of my bathroom is amazing, I can’t believe that it’s the same space. Scott and team were able to ensure the quality install of glass block, new floors, toilet, bathtub, and a lot of tile. I can’t thank them enough for there amazing work. I am a very satisfied customer!”

“Scott completely remodeled the master bathroom replacing all plumbing, fixtures and making minor adjustments to the layout.  It included new marble floor and shower enclosure and rebuilding and enlarging doorways to improve access.  At the same time we replace all the doors on the first door to match the new construction. The project went very well.

Scott was very patient finding out what I wanted and explaining the best way to accomplish it.  He was very clear explaining exactly what he was planning to do and why.  His attention to detail was very impressive.  He was also very careful to explain and project costs.  The project was done within the projected timeframe.  As the project progressed Scott was able to accommodate several changes but kept the project on track.  He was very creative in finding ways to get exactly what I was asking for and never hesitated to discuss an idea. The bathroom looks great and functions as planned.  This was a very good experience.”

“Love my new bathroom. Scott and his team are very professional and easy to work with from the planning stage to the final project. They were able to seemlessly integrate the bathroom update. They are very knowledgeable about bathroom design and helped us design an amazing bathroom. Thanks!”

“Our experience with Scott Hall Remodeling was amazing. We had already received two other estimates, but waited until Scott was available for a third. We are glad we did. Scott listened to our ideas and concerns, producing separate, detailed, multi-page proposals for each bath. He returned to review the proposals with us. He honored our budget as well as our ideas for updating both bathrooms. Once the contract was signed, we then received a three-page “to do” document with a contact list of possible suppliers and deadlines. This document was invaluable as we prepared for the project. We were directed to Denise at The Tile Shop and Tia at Worly Plumbing who were both extremely helpful. Greg and Dave did the initial demolition in a day. From then on Greg did meticulous, high-quality work on all facets of the project. Clean-up each day was excellent, leaving hardly a trace of the work that had been done that day. Part way through the project when I second-guessed one of the material choices, Scott and Denise made time for me, the same day, to discuss the choice and make sure it was what we wanted. Greg did an amazing job on the wall prep before painting and on the tile flooring. He spent extra time on a pocket door to the master bath that now works better than it ever has. The concern for the client and attention to detail are impressive. We cannot say enough about the quality of the work done by Scott Hall Remodeling.”

“[Scott Hall Remodeling] were great to work with. Very professional, responded quickly, and Greg was very clean in his work. I barely knew he was there at times. We are very happy with the results.”

“Scott and his team recently completed a bathroom remodel in my master bath.  The grout in the shower area had failed and there was minor water damage to the drywall. Scott’s team removed everything down to the studs and installed new insulation and moisture resistant backer board.  In addition Scott removed the shower pan, glass shower walls and door, soaking tub and all tile around the tub.  I decided to use solid surfacing material from The Onyx Collection to replace the tile. This included the shower walls, tub surround and walls, and shower pan.  Scott also recommended a frameless shower door and walls in the shower area, this is a great look in my opinion.  Overall I could not be happier with the results. From start to finish Scott was on top of the project, he was responsive to emails and phone calls, and provided updates along the way. Scott’s team did an excellent job cleaning up after everyday of work. I highly recommend Scott Hall Remodeling and would use them in the future.”

“From start to finish Scott was professional, knowledgeable, courteous and concerned about any issues we had. We chose his company in part because of his reputation for customer service. He took time to listen to what we wanted, including a custom vanity area with storage underneath. He and his co-worker Greg were consistently on time, cheerful, and easy to work with. At the end Scott went over the punch out list with us and addressed any concerns we had about trim pieces etc, completely to our satisfaction. He was a pleasure to work with and we’re very happy with the end product.”

“A friend recommended his contractor friend to me, and this contractor did visit my house. He discussed the issue with me, set up a date to begin work, and then I never heard from him again. After four attempts to contact him, I joined Angie’s List to find a reputable contractor and happened upon Scott Hall’s name. I chose Scott initially because he had great reviews and it appeared that even though he does very gorgeous high-end bathrooms, he also does a lot of more modest (middle of the road) bath renovations. I called and left a message, hoping that I would hear from him, and I did hear from him within the hour! He had me explain over e-mail what I needed and wanted done, and he asked me to e-mail him some photos of my bathroom so he could get an overall feeling for the job and how much it might cost. I really liked that he did this because it saved me from having to take time off from work. After the initial e-mail and photos, Scott sent me an estimated budget range of what he thought the job would cost and how long it might take. After I said I was interested, Scott and his employee, Kevin, visited the house to see the bathroom. They visited in the evening, so once again I did not have to take time off from work. He said the job would take from three to four weeks, and they were done in three and a half weeks! I actually did not take one minute off from work throughout the entire project. I gave them a key to my house and never regretted that decision! Scott’s employee, Kevin, was in charge of doing the work, and he did a GREAT job! Kevin tried very hard to contain the dust and cleaned up the mess every evening. Scott was involved ensuring that everything was on track and kept me updated on progress. Yes, there was dust; there is always dust when construction is involved, but Kevin went above and beyond my expectations in trying to contain it. I also have four cats. For the first week, my cats were shut in two bedrooms, and when asked, Kevin was kind enough to let them out when he was done if I wasn’t home. After the first week, it was becoming impossible to find the cats in the mornings because they did not want to be in the bedrooms. I spoke with Kevin, who said it was fine if I left them out during the day. So, for the last two weeks, my cats enjoyed their normal routine, which was a huge relief to me! His other employee, Dave, made a fantastic custom vanity and medicine cabinet for the bathroom when no standard ones would fit. Scott and Kevin were very willing to work with me to try to contain the cost and were very patient as I changed my mind and added a few other items that I wanted done. They were also very willing to give me their ideas and recommendations for what needed done and for this I am very grateful because I really was clueless about much of it. Scott and Kevin always responded to my e-mails and phone calls very quickly and they followed through on all of the small details that needed done at the end.”

“Scott Hall Remodeling is outstanding. The personal care provided by Scott and his staff was fantastic. This was a complicated renovation in an older home. Everything was carefully explained to us along the way. I was particularly impressed by how well the staff cleaned up everyday; they really tried to be as “invisible” as possible. I would recommend Scott Hall Remodeling with my highest possible recommendation.”

“We hired Scott Hall to completely renovate our Master Bathroom and replace everything in our second bathroom except the shower. From the beginning Scott stood out among other contractors because of his professionalism and responsiveness. When we first met with Scott it was also very clear he not only is very experienced but also very passionate about his work. In addition he is always researching “best methods” and stays up to date with the newest materials available in his trade. Scott’s attention to detail is amazing. One of the things we wanted to accomplish in our project was to install a frameless shower door system with as little amount of frame as possible. Scott was able to achieve the look we wanted by working with the glass contractor and leaving a channel in the tile for the glass to slide into. Scott’s planning and careful placement of each tile was amazing. He also uses a commercial product behind the tile called Wedi Board which makes the bathroom waterproof. This was a big concern of ours because our prior bathroom had 4×4 biscuit tiles on the wall that were falling off that had been installed on green board and we had a mold problem. The products that Scott used ensured we would never have the same problem again. I am very, very picky and Scott always met or exceeded my expectations.”

“It went very well – we had previously had Scott renovate our master bath so we were familiar with his work. He and his crew were efficient, professional, and always courteous and flexible. Scott worked with us to pick materials and products that we could afford without compromising quality – he was open to our suggestions and responsive to our questions. He worked hard to fix the plumbing after the original design was not to our liking, and he did battle with the tub manufacturer on our behalf after they delivered a tub with an imperfection. All in all we were very pleased with the process and outcome and would not hesitate to recommend him.”

“The project started on schedule. After the old shower had been torn out, it was noted that the floor joist beneath the shower floor was not up to code when house was built. The sub for the builder had cut into floor joist to make the drain pipe fit. The repair to the joist had not been done properly by the builder. Mike, who was in charge of this project for Scott Hall, had experience in framing. He put lag bolts in the sister joist to bring it up to code. This held up the project, but I was impressed that Scott Hall’s team paid attention to detail.

When the tub was removed and then repositioned with the new onyx deck, Mike took additional steps to make sure that the tub was set correctly. Again, the builder had taken short cuts with the original installation. The tub had been hanging on the frame and was unsupported from below. There were at least a couple inches between the subfloor and the bottom of the tub. Upon stepping into the tub/Jacuzzi before the remodel, it always felt a little unstable. Mike built up the subfloor and used quick set to provide a firm foundation for the tub. It is rock solid now.

Aesthetically, Scott Hall’s work was impressive. The onyx and the glass enclosure are beautiful. The color scheme in the bathroom pleased my wife thanks to the help of Ali, the designer who works with Scott.

After the work was completed, the bathroom was spotless. The men working for Scott took measures to keep the place very tidy while they completed the project. Follow up after the project to make sure we were completely satisfied was excellent.

I have used Angie’s list for a while, but mainly to find contractors or services. This is the first time I have written a review. I did so because I was so pleased with the work. It took a while to get on the schedule because his work is in demand. The project was not cheap, but “you get what you pay for.” Scott Hall remodeling was definitely worth the wait and the cost.”

“We had to replace our shower because of a leak in the tile that resulted in the wall giving in. So we contacted several companies to get estimates and look at our options. One actually told me that our job was too “small” for them and I should look elsewhere. Another sent me out to look at tile and then implied that that I wasn’t really serious about the job and they would need a deposit to go any further. So it was great to find Scott Hall Remodeling and someone who wanted to do a job and do it well.He made several trips before we got the estimate fine tuned as to the material and extras we wanted. We signed the contract and were given a start date. I was pleasantly surprised when we were moved up on the schedule and they were able to start about a week sooner than planned. The first step was to remove the existing tile and glass. Other than some noise, the job went pretty fast and everything was kept very clean. I had imagined dust tracked all over. They used the garage to work in as was agreed upon ahead of time. There was no damage to the subfloor and existing plumbing was still good so no surprises. The new walls went up just as quick and while they were working the glass company came by to do their measurements and a date was set for installation. The glass company was on time and again very clean and neat. Everything was spelled out in our contract so we had no problems during the work. Scott made a final inspection and answered any questions we had. He has since sent me information on cleaning the new glass and walls. We are very happy with the new shower. I couldn’t be happier with the way the job was handled, from start to finish and would definitly recommend Scott for any type of bathroom remodel.”

“Scott Hall Remodeling remodeled a full bath for me that had been leaking from the tub/shower area for more than 2 years and therefor rarely used.  The project was probably a bit frustrating for him as we kept adding and subtracting work to be done by Scott’s company or myself.  In the end, however, everything was accomplished in an excellent manner.  My wife is extremely pleased with the final product as am I. Scott takes customer service very seriously and is willing to bend over backwards to make sure the customer is satisfied.  If I had to do it over, I probably would lock in a little more concretely what the project was going to entail.  I certainly would use Scott again to do the work.”

“My experience from start to finish was extremely positive. During two planning meetings, Scott and Greg discussed my vision d for each bathroom, provided me lots of additional information to consider (I found their website featuring detailed photos of some of their earlier projects particularly helpful), and helped me develop comprehensive final plan for each bathroom which included detailed cost estimates for each stage of the work as well as recommended vendors for all required materials and services. I then briefly visited each vendor (all of whom were extremely helpful), informed Scott and Greg of my design decisions, and turned the bathrooms over to them. They were very up-front with me concerning their schedule, Work on my bathrooms could not begin until they had completed several jobs already in progress or scheduled prior to mine. They estimated beginning in approximately six weeks after our final design meeting, and were ultimately able to begin in roughly five. Greg would do most of the work on my bathrooms. He arrived at my home each day between 8:30 and 9:30, and normally reached logical stopping points between 3:30 and 4:30. Someone in the family was often home while the work was being done, but I did not feel compelled to have anyone present, and family members kept to their normal schedules. I simply provided Greg with a house key and garage door code to ensure he could come and go as needed. Throughout the project, Greg treated my house with kid gloves. My property was always moved well away from the work areas or well protected, and drop cloths were always patiently installed at the start of each work day. I think that my house was actually cleaner when they left at quitting time that it was when they arrived each morning. The meticulous attention-to-detail needed to ensure high quality work was evident throughout the process. Some tasks were incredibly exacting and time-consuming, but visible progress was made each day and Greg was great about letting me know what he had accomplished and what he planned for the next day as he left each evening.. Scott also made a point of meeting with me regularly weekly to review progress and ensure I was satisfied with the work. Approximately two months (including long weekends for Memorial Day and Fourth of July, and a 2-week wait for specially ordered glass), my bathrooms were completely remodeled and I could not be happier with the results. One last note…..I had a third bathroom that the family generally used while the other two were being worked on, but Greg was great about scheduling his work to minimize the time that the bathrooms being worked on were “off-limits.” I believe that had we been required to use the either of the two being worked on, Greg would have found a way to accommodate us. These bathroom makeovers were my first experience with major home renovations, and I went in with more than a little concern. The great experience I had with Scott Hall Remodeling makes me far less reluctant to consider similar projects in the future. ”
